Native British Wildflower Seed Mix For Loam SoilOur Native British Wildflower Seed Mix for Loam Soil is a mix of pollinator friendly wildflowers ideally suited to thrive in loamy soils. The 15 native species include annual species for colour in the first year, and perennial species such as musk mallow and bird's foot trefoil which will flower from year 2 onwards. All the native wildflower seed in our mixtures is sourced from stock grown in the wild in Britain. It is then multiplied up commercially
creating a varied display of colour at different stages throughout the summer
With upright slender leaves and attractive spikes of numerous small red flowers
cowslips have declined in some areas due to habitat loss and changing land management
Sow within a couple of metres of the water's edge
Add native wildflower bulbs such as snowdrops and bluebells for the earliest colour and interest and to provide food for the earliest pollinators
autumn hawkbit is an excellent nectar source for bees and other pollinating insects
The seeds are a good food source for birds such as finches
this upright perennial species is commonly found in damp meadows or alongside streams and rivers
Cowslips grow in full sun or semi-shade on well-drained or heavier soils
