The figure is made of painted chalkware & dates to the mid 20th century

Victorian objects painted with black lacquer & inlaid with mother of pearl were a popular design fad in the mid-19th century

condition is excellent with some minor wear around the edges which will not show when framed

lending it a beautifully worn look
