Description
BertranditeBetrandite is a fairly rare beryllium silicate, and crystals are typically small worldwide, usually less than 1 cm. These new specimens from Golconda feature crystals measuring OVER 3 cm(!) which is world class for the species. Not only are these monstrous crystals, but the quality is as good as it gets showing a glossy vitreous luster and a gorgeous porcelain white hue. This particular piece features a pair of top quality, highly lustrous, layered

GEM quality green and “cat’s eye” pink bicolor group with the renowned tapered scepter habit
but that actually helps to intensify the color
We picked this piece up from a good friend of ours who travels to Mogok regularly
It's notably GEMMY inside when backlit
The good news is that I directly obtained this specimen from the miner who collected it
and to find a good-sized crystal like this with a yellow termination is not common from any locality
dull or poorly crystallized
