Kentaro died in 1987 and the set was published in 1982

He graduated in 1899 from Kyoto City School of Arts and Crafts and and became head of Kyoto City Specialist School of Painting

He is best known for his work on Japanese history

Unfortunately no indication on the printer/carver but the level is on par with old masters (Ito Susumu being one of the old guard

Initially thought to be a Meiji scroll is in fact the fourth volume of Kyō Warabe (京童 loosely translated as "Guide to Famous Places in Kyoto") published in Meireiki 4 (1658) made (most probably for better preserving) into an emakimono mounting
